• Come hear Dave Jacke on the ecology of home scale food forests at our annual meeting October 16 2007

• This year's macroinvertebrate monitoring will focus on the North River and will take place September 21-23. To help us document the health of that river, pleas contact Mike Cole 413-774-5515.

• A spill in the Green River was noted around 3pm Sunday April 22 in Greenfield. The source seems to be coming from underground next to the Berkshire Gas facility. Town Fire Department was on the scene immediately and DEP was alerted. Around 3:15pm, half the Green River passing under the Meridian Street bridge was of a brilliant rusty color, with the other half its normal green color for this high water season.
